WIMBORNE Town have completed the signing of defender Jordan Rose.

The 32-year-old, who spent time in the youth ranks at Cherries, has enjoyed a lengthy non-league career.

After spells at Stockport County, Eastleigh and Whitehawk, Rose has more recently plied his trade at Weymouth, Farnborough and latterly Salisbury.

Discussing his decision to join Southern League Division One South Wimborne, former Farnborough captain Rose told Magpies' website: “Absolutely delighted to be joining Wimborne and really looking forward to playing a part in what will hopefully be a successful season.

"After speaking with the gaffer, hearing his ambitions for the season and the club, and seeing the recruitment so far, the decision to join was an easy one."

Boss James Stokoe added: "I’m really pleased to get Jordan in.

"He was captain of Farnborough last season and then we nearly got him when he left for Salisbury.

"He’s a big, strong player with plenty of experience at higher levels, lots of promotion experience and he’ll be a great asset to our team next season."
