CLUBS have discovered their opponents for four major FA cup competitions, with the early rounds having now been drawn.

Fixtures for the openings stages of the FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Vase and FA Youth Cup have all been revealed.

The historic FA Cup, first founded 151 years ago, will this year feature 732 clubs from across the length and breadth of the country

The extra preliminary round is due to take place on Saturday, August 6.

Among the draw includes newly-promoted Laverstock & Ford, who will make the trip to Hampshire to face Alresford Town.

Fellow promoted Bemerton Heath Harlequins are also on the road, at Portsmouth-based Moneyfields, while Andover New Street head to Warminster Town.

Winners of those ties will pocket £1,125, with losing clubs taking home £375.

The preliminary round draw has also taken place.

This is where Wimborne Town join the competition and they have been handed a trip to either Moneyfields or Bemerton.

Laverstock would be at home at this stage should they progress, against either Welton Rovers or United Services Portsmouth.

Andover would have another away tie, at either Westbury United or Poppies.

Winners of ties at this stage earn £1,444, with losing clubs taking £481, with games due to take place on Saturday, August 20.

Both of the above rounds will require replays, if original matches are drawn.

Salisbury enter the FA Cup at the first qualifying round stage.

FA Cup extra prelim round: Moneyfields v Bemerton Heath Harlequins, Warminster Town v Andover New Street, Alresford Town v Laverstock & Ford.

FA Cup prelim round: Westbury United/Poppies v Warminster Town/Andover New Street, Moneyfields/Bemerton Heath Harlequins v Wimborne Town, Alresford Town/Laverstock & Ford v Welton Rovers/United Services Portsmouth.

The initial two rounds of the FA Trophy have also been drawn, but Salisbury do not enter this competition until the third round of qualifying.

Meanwhile in the FA Vase, there is a tasty clash between neighbours Downton and Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the first round of qualifying.

That fixture, as well as Ringwood Town v Andover Town and Sherborne Town v Andover New Street, is due to take place on Saturday, August 27.

Winners earn £550, with £160 going to losing clubs.

In the second round of qualifying, Laverstock & Ford enter the fray, hosting either Ringwood or Andover.

Bemerton could head to Fleetlands in Gosport, while Amesbury Town will go to either Newport on the Isle of Wight, or Warminster Town.

Sherborne or Andover New Street will play host to either Fawley or Wincanton Town.

These games are scheduled for Saturday, September 24, with winning clubs earning £725 and losing sides taking home £225.

In both rounds, games will be decided on the day, with penalties after 90 minutes if required.

FA Vase first round qualifying: Ringwood Town v Andover Town, Sherborne Town v Andover New Street, Downton v Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

FA Vase second round qualifying: Laverstock & Ford v Ringwood Town/Andover Town, Sherborne Town/Andover New Street v Fawley/Wincanton Town, Fleetlands v Downton/Bemerton Heath Harlequins, Newport/Warminster Town v Amesbury Town.

Ties for the preliminary round of the FA Youth Cup have also been confirmed, due to take place in the week commencing August 29.

Salisbury have been handed a home drawn, taking on Gosport Borough.

Andover Town are also at home, against either Shaftesbury or Alton, while Bemerton Heath Harlequins go to Sholing or Hamble Club.

Downton's youngsters will be on the road against the winners of AFC Portchester and Hamworthy United.

Games will be decided on the night, with penalties after 90 minutes if required.

To qualify to play in the competition, players must be born between the dates of September 1, 2004 and September 1, 2007.
