LAVERSTOCK & Ford progressed into the second round of the FA Vase with a resounding 3-0 win at Bradford Town.

Liam McConnell's side led 2-0 at half-time through goals from Russell Jones and Archie Lovegrove.

The Bobcats had no answer after the restart, with Chae Sykes securing the victory.

Laverstock have been drawn at home to Falmouth Town in the next round, which takes place on Saturday, November 12.

Also through are Andover New Street, following a thumping 5-1 win at Somerset-based Street.

Matthew Scott, Shane Lock, Ross Cook (2) and Scott Hassell were all on target for Andover, who fell behind early on.

Andover progress through to a trip to Brixham next month, battling for a spot in round three.

Bemerton Heath Harlequins are out of the Vase, losing 2-0 at Cullompton Rangers.

Laverstock were also victorious in league action, winning 4-2 at Portland United on Tuesday night in the Wessex Premier.

The only goal of the first half came from Jones, before Adam Bourner doubled the tally on 56 minutes.

The hosts soon hit back through Matthew Harvey, before Jones grabbed his second.

Troy Walbridge's strike set up a grandstand finale, but nerves were eased when Cameron Roach fired home two minutes from time.

In Wessex One, Oliver Davies bagged a hat-trick as Downton swept aside Romsey Town 6-1.

Krzysztof Krystofowicz netted a brace, while William Mackie was also on target.

Amesbury Town lost 1-0 at Fleetlands, while goals from Ben Harris and Harrison Clarke earned Ringwood Town a 2-1 win against Hamworthy Recreation.

Ringwood are however out of the Wessex League Cup, losing 4-2 to Petersfield Town, despite goals from Jack Barton and Ben Bradwell.
