LAVERSTOCK & Ford had a week to remember with two wins in the Wessex Premier Division.

Lavvy, who now sit seventh in the table, impressed a crowd of over 150 by defeating in-form AFC Stoneham 4-2 at Church Road.

Russell Jones was the star of the show, bagging a hat-trick, with Peter Fletcher also on target.

Liam McConnell’s Bulldogs then travelled down to Bournemouth to face the Poppies on Tuesday night, coming away 2-0 victors thanks to goals from Jones and Archie Lovegrove.

In Wessex One, Andover New Street remain unbeaten after back-to-back away wins.

Goals from Alex Dockree and Joshua Moore earned a 2-0 triumph at Millbrook, before a midweek 3-0 success at Fleet Spurs, with Moore, Shane Lock and Ross Cook all on target.

Amesbury Town’s wretched campaign continued with two heavy losses. They were thumped 5-0 at Andover Town on Saturday, with Jake Watson’s hat-trick adding to goals from Ryan Sion Griffiths and Ben Emans.

Amesbury were then crushed 7-0 at New Milton Town. At the weekend, table-topping New Milton swept aside high-flying Downton 4-0, with Charles Turner bagging a brace.

Verwood Town stayed just ahead of rivals Ringwood Town in mid-table, with a 3-0 win over Ash United. Kieran Burpitt, Sam Farndell and Joe Smith all found the net.

Ringwood did win themselves, a brace from Patrick Correia enough to earn a 2-1 victory against Fawley.

Away from league action, Bemerton Heath Harlequins were outclassed by Swindon Supermarine in the Wiltshire Premier Shield.

Although impressing near the top of the Wessex Premier, Bemmy could not compete with a Swindon side sitting two divisions above them in Southern League Premier South.

Trailing 2-0 at half-time, the hosts pulled one back through Reece Rusher.

However, their hopes were dealt a big blow when George Bennett was sent off, as Supermarine ran out 6-1 winners.
