Bemerton Heath Harlequins took a massive step towards Southern League football, as they easily cast AFC Portchester aside, winning 3-0 at Moon Park.
The host were very quick out of the blocks and their dominance was shown when Greg Peel scored on 19 minutes to open the scoring.
The vocal and brilliant support were sent into raptures on 23 minutes, when Kane O’Keefe took down a ball on the bounce and converted a fantastic overhead kick from outside of the area.
Harlequins lead 2-0 at the break, with a big comeback effort expected in the second half from Portchester. But with the home side in such control, no such opportunities were allowed.
The game was all but over when a swinging corner from Danny Young was converted be the mercurial Kane O’Keefe, who beat his marker and headed into the net.
Following the 3-0 victory and results elsewhere, Harlequins finished in second place. With their fate to be decided on Wednesday, if they’ll face a play off or if automatic promotion is awarded.
