Redlynch & Hale CC returned to winning ways with a 13-run victory against Sway's second team.
The team, who had been struggling for form, secured this much-needed win in Division 3A to get back on track.
Captain Ian Tanner won the toss and decided to bat first, but his side looked shaky at 52/3.
Tanner crafted a half-century before the drinks break, while Nathan Pollard, recalled from the second team, provided solid support.
Their fourth-wicket partnership, which added 92 runs to the total, was broken when Tanner was caught at cover for 69, and Pollard soon followed, having contributed 62.
Will Hewlett’s quick-fire 36 took Redlynch past the 200 mark, but Sway's quick bowlers, particularly Thomas Randell-Turner, who claimed 3-36, managed to restrict the total to 221/9.
In reply, Sway started well, with Dan Stevenson and Olly Marshall putting on 42 and 50 respectively.
However, George Hayes changed the game by taking two wickets in his first over, leaving Sway struggling at 119/6.
A late surge by Will Pearson and Harry West, scoring 27 and 35 respectively, gave Sway hope, but despite some missed chances by Redlynch, they managed to hold on for victory.
Elsewhere, Redlynch's second team enjoyed a successful day, beating Hyde by 105 runs.
Stan Boardman was the star performer, scoring an unbeaten 73 at number eight to push Redlynch to 193/9.
He also took 3-9, helping to bowl Hyde out for 88.
However, it was a day to forget for Redlynch's third team, who suffered a 108-run defeat against Ferndown Wayfarers.
The strong Wayfarers side posted 212, and Redlynch were bowled out for 104.
Despite this, the first team's hard-fought win will provide a much-needed boost to the club as they look to build on this victory in the coming weeks.
