SALISBURY FC had a strong end to the season with their 1-1 draw away to Hemel Hempstead in the National League South. Match report by Shea D'arcy.
Nathan Odokonyero salvaged a point for the Whites in Hertfordshire after the Tudors took the lead early on.
Hemel Hempstead will be satisfied with their result as it confirms they have finished 5th and will now play Weston-super-Mare in the playoffs.
It was a rocky start for Salisbury as in the 2nd minute, Hemel were given a penalty after Dom Revan hand-balled it in the box.
Tudor’s midfielder Joe White stepped up to take the spot kick and converted by aiming to his left-hand side.

Will Buse was forced into action not long after, as in the 26th minute, Isiah Noel-Williams had his first-time shot stopped.
In the 44th minute, Odokonyero then made himself the hero after his header went in the top corner, thanks to a cross from Richard McIntyre.
Hemel, hoping to move further up the play-off spots, pushed the bar in the second half, having many chances.
In the 63rd minute, it was Buse again who prevented the hosts from scoring, as their close-range shot was stopped by Buse’s leg.
Salisbury ended the season in 17th place, remaining in the National League South after a relegation scare at the start of the season.
