Redlynch & Hale Cricket Club (CC) basked in the sunshine with a fantastic day, as all three Saturday teams claimed victory.
The first team faced Bournemouth 3rds at The Hamworthy Club and achieved an impressive run chase, successfully chasing down a target of 283 runs.
Dave Webber stole the spotlight by breaking a long-standing club record, scoring a remarkable 163 runs, surpassing Mike Elkins' previous record of 162 that had stood for 17 years.
Bournemouth initially set a solid foundation with Aayan Kar scoring 104 and Tom Ainley contributing 90, helping their team to a total of 283-5. Harvey Boardman was the standout bowler for Redlynch, taking 2 wickets for 39 runs.
In response, Redlynch's innings started shakily with Ian Tanner dismissed LBW early on. However, Webber quickly found his rhythm, hitting 4 fours in his first 11 balls.
At 93-3, the situation looked tricky, but Nathan Pollard joined Webber, and together they added 178 runs before Webber's innings ended. Pollard finished the match unbeaten on 63, guiding the team to victory with 3 overs to spare, securing 3rd place in Div 3a.
Meanwhile, the 2nd XI bowled Trojans 3rds out for 181, with Dom Sell taking 2 wickets for 29 runs.
Jos Careras shone with an unbeaten 65, leading the team to victory in the 31st over.
The 3rd XI also triumphed, dismissing OT's & Romsey 4ths for just 106 runs, with Greg Ehlen and Amy Biddlecombe each taking 3 wickets. Skipper Peter Biddlecombe anchored the chase with 52 not out, finishing the game in just 23 overs.
