Hampshire League – other regional divisions
ALDERHOLT continued their topsy-turvy season with a strong eight-wicket victory when they entertained Redlynch and Hale 2nds in Regional Division 2 West, writes Simon Rowley.
Russell Church (76 no) led the visitors’ batting for 190-8 with the Westwoods, Will (4-24) and Bob (3-35), the pick of the bowlers.
Alderholt were soon into their stride thanks to openers Tom Morris (67) and Steve Willoughby (55) and once they had gone, Ben Westwood (32 no) and Matt Barnaby (28 no) saw the hosts home with five overs to spare.
Ringwood put in another poor batting display at the Carvers, bowled out for 101 by Beaulieu who won by six wickets.
Despite a second successive defeat, Hyde 2nds still remain top of Regional Division 3 West by a whisker.
Hyde were undone by Steve Dyer-Smith (5.4-2-9-6) at the Fernhill Sports Ground and their 146 was easily overcome by New Milton IV who won by six wickets.
Chasing Lytchett’s 270 all out, Ellingham 3rds ended on 135-6. Verwood 2nds went to Whiteparish 2nds and won by one wicket.
