THIRD spot in West Club's Premier Division 2A was cemented by Salisbury Ladies' Hockey after they edged a seven-goal thriller at Chippenham.
The visitors hit a winner after throwing away a three-goal cushion to go three points clear of fourth-placed Jaspers, who suffered a narrow defeat to Swindon.
Salisbury rushed into the lead thanks to a well-worked short corner. Josie Steinson teamed up with Miranda MacTaggart before playing in Anika Drage who rifled home.
Teenager Lily Jackson doubled their advantage when picking up a loose ball in midfield, darting past several Chippenham defenders then arrowing a drive into the far right corner.
Salisbury pushed for a third goal and got their reward when 14-year-old Izzy Viant, on her team debut, set-up captain Kerry McCollum.
Chippenham hit back with two goals as there was just one goal in it at the halfway mark.
And a bright start to the second 35 minutes saw the hosts sniff out an equaliser.
But Salisbury held their heads, picked up the pace and went onto muster a winning goal as Ellen Trott latched onto Steinson's pass and provided a smart finish.
