IT was a goal fest at Lower Bemerton as Salisbury Women's Hockey firsts continued their winning streak with an 8-1 demolition of Jaspers.
The result, which sees them leap into third in West Club Premier Division 2A, has boosted their challenge for the title.
The floodgates opened when an inspirational drive from Pat Ham crashed into the net.
Miranda MacTaggart slotted home a second from a pass into a very crowded D.
Following a beautiful pass from Debbie Wrighton, long-legged Lily Jackson took on the Jaspers keeper, who went to ground early and scored.
Salisbury kept the pressure on in the first half, with constant torment from Sarah Brown, Josie Steinson and Kerry Jackson, all of whom connected with with Ham in attack.
The half ended 3-0 to the hosts.
After the break, Sarah Brown made a promising drive down the left wing, cutting into the D past numerous Jaspers' defenders and scoring her first goal of the season.
Captain Kerry Jackson added a fifth with a well-timed finish.
Ham continued to torment the worn down Jaspers and from down well timed passes from Lisa Lovatt, slotted home two more incredible goals. Brown then got her well deserved second goal.
The visitors slotted home a consolation late on.
Club captain Vicki Brewis said: "It was a fantastic display from the whole Salisbury team, proving that they are challengers for the league this season."
Salisbury travel to struggling Chippenham on Saturday.
