SALISBURY and District football league is well underway in the Saturday league, D.I.UTD continued their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive 7-0 victory against Chalke Valley who were playing their first game of the season.
Porton Sports picked up their first win of the season winning 3-1 to Railway Social Club, who stay rooted to the bottom of the league. Sarum Youth and RWJ Castle were without a game this weekend.
In the Sunday league Division One league leaders Durrington FC, West Harnham and Alderbury continued their good start to the season, all picking up big victories, walking through opposition with 9-0, 7-4 and 10-1 wins respectively. In other results Barford Hornets were too good for West Tytherley with a thumping 9-1 win.
In Division 2 South Newton & Wishford were beaten for the first time this season by league strugglers Winchester Gate. The Wheatsheaf managed to close the gap on the league leaders with a 4-2 win against Barford Hornets Reserves. St Pauls FC are still looking for their first point of the season, losing to Laverstock and Ford 4-0.
