SALISBURY Rovers have recently won an award for the best inclusive project at the Wiltshire FA awards, for their project The Beautiful Game Project.
They were also awarded a Community Shield Fund grant of £2,500 to extend their community work.
Along with county success, the club has been awarded a guaranteed grant by Salisbury City Council to extend the life of the Beautiful Game Project. The grant is for £3000 a year for the next three years. In awarding the grant, the council said: “The panel agreed that this is a worthy project and note the applicants success so far”. This will secure and extend the work the club doing with the Beautiful Game Project.
Salisbury Rovers FC’s philosophy is to encourage all children play football.
