With respect to Annie Riddle’s relevant warning (Journal, Aug 6, p 68), I have slow motion nightmares of the increased traffic on London Road due to Aldi, Asda and Riverdown Park looking like the A36.

However, using a picture, painted by Lady Butler in 1881, titled “Scotland Forever” of the Royal Scots Greys, depicting a heavy cavalry regiment charging at Waterloo in 1815 to illustrate an idea about the Charge of the Light Brigade in the Crimea in 1854 is not a very accurate portrayal.

The attached with a cathedral superimposed in the middle of the picture — assuming the puffs of smoke are coming from Trowbridge — might be a better suggestion.
