I WOULD like to add my support to the many who have applauded the level of care of our nursing, medical and support staff at Salisbury District Hospital.
While around the world the focus has understandable been on the awful event and its repercussions in the city of Salisbury, the hospital staff have continued to carry on regardless, looking after, not only the very special needs of the unfortunate Skripal family, but, also dealing with the extra work associated with all the winter pressures.
The NHS, as we all know, has come under some considerable scrutiny over the past few years, but when it comes to the crunch, you know you can rely upon the care, skill and devotion of our doctors, nurses and therapists.
Let us not forget either the hospital support teams, who despite the well published difficulties that exist in our health service, have undoubtedly made their own contribution to the deserved accolades from Prime Minister Teresa May, MP John Glen and others.
Of course, no one chooses to stay in hospital, but as far as I am concerned, if in the future I have to, then SDH would be my five-star choice.
Well done Salisbury District Hospital.
