AT 10am on Saturday I noticed that some visitors to Salisbury had paid for car parking.
The Culver Street car park had a huge sign on the wall stating parking was free after 3pm and all day Sunday.
A small sign on the side of the ticket machine (not easily visible) advised free parking after midday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Other car parks in town also have advisory signs on the side of some (not all) ticket machines.
We need to encourage visitors, not confuse them!
