The Editor,
As a pendant to Mr Wilkinson's letter (Postbag 16th) I am usually not in favour of the "vote again and get it right this time" approach; but I do see the case for a second EU referendum.
There must be some Leave voters who are by now aghast at the negotiating shambles of the past two years and wondering whether this can possibly be what they voted for. There will be others who realised soon enough that they would not be getting what they thought they had voted for.
Incidentally, I am quite expecting a "no deal" exit, which will of course be hailed as a diplomatic triumph by an increasingly desperate government.
Yours faithfully,
Richard Merwood
