WITH reference to the article in the Salisbury Journal, August 30, about the Jo Benson club for physically disabled people looking for new trustees, I would like to describe my experience of being a trustee. I visit regularly not just as a trustee but because I feel uplifted on entering the club.
At any time of day it is a hive of activity with members being encouraged by the wonderfully creative staff and supporting volunteers. The happy buzz is a joy to be part off, even for a short time. I feel very honoured to be helping to provide such a pleasant part of what could be a lonely day for so many people.
