IF, as seems likely, the “scare” was the result of a hoax by Anna Shapiro and Alex King then action must be taken to prosecute them and recover all costs incurred by Prezzo, the council, etc.
I was delighted to read that the Prezzo restaurant chain has threatened legal action against Anna Shapiro and Alex King if it is found that that the “scare” was a hoax.
I would also expect the police to submit a case for prosecution to the CPS whereby punitive damages are sought to recover the costs of the police, emergency services, hospital admissions, etc.
Additionally, if Anna Shapiro is in the UK on a Visa then there must surely be grounds for the Home Office to revoke that Visa and she should then be deported.
