To give further emphasis to Ms Exley’s letter (Postbag, January17), I left my home in Alderbury at 5.30pm today for an appointment at the hospital at 6.20pm, I turned round at the park and ride at 6.15pm having of course phoned the hospital.
The pollution from the stationary traffic with engines running was terrible.
A further development in Alderbury is about to be released and permission has been given for 50 more houses adjacent to the local school. I trust the sales documents will contain a health warning.
Where is the thought and planning in these decisions, hopefully our splendid local hospital is preparing for the increase in respiratory disease from both our old and young. They are hopefully joined up where none of our leaders appear to be.
