ON behalf of Fisherton Street Traders, I would like to reply to Robin Wrigley regarding the negative impressions of the street published last week (Journal Postbag, January 17).
Fisherton Street offers a diverse range of independent specialist shops, services, cafes, restaurants and world food stores. We are fortunate to have a loyal customer base who tell us why they value this street and keep returning to it. More than anything, it is because of the personal service offered, with advice and expert knowledge rarely available from larger chain stores.
We are determined to build on the current success of Fisherton Street and are working closely with Salisbury City Council and the BID to introduce a range of improvements. Fisherton Street is a main route into the city centre, it may not be the prettiest but we know from our customer feedback that it offers a unique and diverse aspect to our great city. Come and see for yourselves and let’s support Salisbury.
