A HAIR salon from Salisbury has been shortlisted for a national award.

Hair by Carla, located in The Granary, Main Road, Winterbourne Dauntsey, has been shortlisted for 'South West Salon of the Year' in the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024: Chapter Three.

More than 60,000 votes were received from the public voting for their favourite salons nationwide and this year’s awards have been split into four chapters. Chapter Three will spotlight the top salons and beauty professionals from across the South of England.

The awards honour those who consistently work hard to raise the standards within the industry while making sure every customer walks away having had a memorable experience.

The awards ceremony will take place at Kents Hill Park in Milton Keynes on Sunday, April 21.

Carla Corte, owner of Hair by Carla, said: "I am delighted to be a finalist for the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024 for South West Salon of 2024.

"We were delighted to win last year and here we are again this year super excited and proud to be voted and a finalist.

"This means a lot to me as a small independent business it’s overwhelming the amount of love and support that my loving clients show towards me and my business.

"My clients come from various parts and counties in the UK. 

"The furthest in the UK comes from Cheshire and some of my other lovely clients come from Barbados, this is trust, loyalty and supporting my dream.

"I support local businesses myself and my salon is a certified vegan, cruelty-free and organic.

"We use Organic Colour Systems that are also a British hairdressing manufacturer based in Lymington in The New Forest, and our ethos is to give our lovely clients a unique natural hairdressing experience.

"We have won various awards since we’ve been open and we would love to win again, although being a finalist it's already a win.

"We want to say thank you to all of our fabulous clients for supporting us and making the best salon ever."

Creative Oceanic launched the official Hair and Beauty Awards in England twelve years ago which has expanded to include successful ceremonies in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Toronto and New York.
