A pub with "something for everybody" has had its "best month on record" after two back-to-back record-breaking weeks in December.

The Ox Row Inn, owned by Fullers, isn't planning to slow down or "get comfortable" following the unexpected recent success.

Business at the Grade II listed pub, at 10-11 Ox Row, has only just "died down", according to manager Dave Nicoll.

He said: "I don't know where everybody came from.

"Throughout the year we have picked up a lot of new business just from doing what we do."

The pub's much-anticipated quiz night is returning on February 6 and Dave plans to create more events to keep going out in Salisbury an attractive option.

"We're going to be running more offers than normal this January so people aren't too scared to come out.

"It gives people something to look forward to," added Dave.

The Ox Row Inn is rated the number seven pub in Salisbury based on reviews, boasting a warm, friendly welcome with good old-fashioned service, outstanding ales and delicious fresh food.

David said he "absolutely loves" Salisbury Live in the Market Place, describing the footfall it brings as "absolutely carnage".
