Owner Peter Cheal said: “It is the perfect spot, sitting here by the river enjoying the peace and quiet. We are adding the finishing touches now. We are planting lots of flowers for a burst of colour and have a wooden trellis with clematis. It’s a real garden.”
The plan is to offer breakfasts, homemade cakes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and the usual teas, coffees, and soft drinks.

Easter afternoon teas are on the menu but these must be booked in advance. Peter confirmed that there will be plenty of food and drink available for those who visit on the spur of the moment.
Planning changes had been submitted previously and Peter admitted that initially, there had been some opposition but eventually, the council made a unanimous decision for the work to go ahead.
Peter added: “Everything is now done and ready. It is now suitable for those who need wheelchair access too and they can sit by the river and enjoy it.”
