UPDATE: Residents gather to remember Aneta and Nikoleta Zdun

The Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Caroline Corbin and the Bishop of Salisbury, the Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam will also be in attendance along with friends and neighbours, and members of the emergency services.

Canon Kelvin Inglis, Rector of St Thomas's said: "Many in our city were deeply affected by the tragic loss of two innocent lives last year. It is important to recognise the hurt and the sorrow.

"On Tuesday, we shall come together to pray for healing for all those traumatised by the events of that terrible day.

"But we shall also remember Aneta and Nikoleta as they were: decent, ordinary people, a mother and daughter, loved still by their community."

Marcin Zdun, 40, was found guilty of the murder of his wife and teenage daughter on December 17, 2020 following a two-week trial at Winchester Crown Court and jailed for life.

A judge told him he would serve a minimum of 34 years behind bars.

Judger Mr Justice Chamberlain added: "If you are ever released you will remain on licence for the rest of your life."

Zdun killed his wife Aneta, 40, and daughter Nikoleta, 18 at their home on Wessex Road on the afternoon of June 1.
