TODAY is the day football fanatics have been waiting for - England vs. Italy in the Euro 2020 final.

This is the first time England has reached a major tournament final since 1966.

The final kicks-off at Wembley tonight, July 11, at 8pm, and Salisbury supporters will be ready and waiting both at home and across the city's pubs to cheer on the three lions.

As expressed by our readers on Facebook, below are just some of the booked up pubs where punters will be glued to the screens tonight.

THE BISHOPS MILL

One of the main hospitality sites along Bridge Street - the area football fans always spill out from pubs after viewing a game - The Bishops Mill is excited to be bringing the final to the people of Salisbury.

Already fully booked online, the venue suggests calling for the latest availability.

Taking to social media the team said: "On behalf of the whole team at The Bishops Mill, we can’t wait to have you guys in on Sunday and to celebrate the football together… it’s coming home!!"

THE BRIDGE TAP

Known before Covid-19 to be one of the hostelries for dancing, singing and chanting during any sporting event, Bridge Tap is still one of the favourite venues in the area to watch a game.

Same as The Bishops Mill however, there is no option to book a table for tonight's big match online.

CATHEDRAL BAR AND HOTEL

The Cathedral along Milford Street has always gone big on viewing live sport, decking out the space with screens coupled with a lively atmosphere, and Euro 2020 is no exception.

Last week a statement on Facebook from the team said: "We are fully booked for the Euro semi-final and the final.

"We received very high demand for these dates and we regret we cannot accommodate you all for the fixtures, but wherever you watch them, remember IT'S COMING HOME!"

OLD ALE AND COFFEE HOUSE

Another fully booked hostelry, football fans will be making their way to Old Ale and Coffee House on Crane Street tonight to enjoy the England vs. Italy match.

The pub will be open for its usual Sunday roasts and lunches, but will be taking a break between 3pm and 6pm in preparation for the game.

OUTBACK

One of the newer additions to the food and drink scene in Salisbury, Australian sports bar Outback is counting down to tonight's game.

Of course it is fully booked, but at the time of writing (10.30am) a table for two has become available at the site on Milford Street. Message the team on the Outback Facebook page for more information.
