A number of new businesses have opened in Salisbury in recent months with more set to open in the run-up to Christmas.

Despite the current economic backdrop and the challenges being faced by many businesses across the country, ten new businesses have opened their doors in the city since October.

These businesses include:

Eggfree Cake Box - Catherine Street

Salisbury Journal:

Eggfree Cake Box opened its first store in East London in 2008. In 2022, they now have over 195 branches with a Salisbury store set to open in the coming weeks.

Calendar Club, Old George Mall

Calendar Club has been a seasonal addition to Salisbury’s Old George Mall for the past 15 years and this year will be no different.

Calendar Club specialises in retailing calendars, diaries, planners and gifts during the busy Christmas shopping season and is open on New Canal in Salisbury in Salisbury until mid-January.

Coffee#1, Market Place

Fragrance Shop, Old George Mall

The UK’s largest independent fragrance retailer opened their Salisbury store at the end of October.

From Dior and CoCo Chanel to Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren, The Fragrance Shop sell mainstream and luxury fragrances at affordable and accessible prices.

You can also browse over 150 fragrance brands and over 200 beauty brands at the Fragrance Shop online.

Glamour Girl, Old George Mall

Looking to upgrade your wardrobe this Winter? The women’s fashion retail outlet, Glamour Girl, also opened in the Old George Mall at the end of October.

The company aims to bring exceptional style to shoppers far and wide. They also provide an online shopping experience.

Magnet, High Street

Salisbury Journal:

Fitted kitchen specialists, Magnet, who are currently based on Churchfields Industrial Estate are set to open in Salisbury city centre in December.

The national kitchen retailer will move into the former Burger King premises on High Street.

Nicky Joyce Hair, Fisherton Street

A new independent hair salon has opened on Fisherton Street specialising in balayage blondes and low maintenance colour.

Progress Bar, Endless Street

Salisbury Journal:

Progress Bar is a safe and inclusive venue for the LGBTQ+ community and opened on Endless Street, Salisbury on Friday, November 18.

The café and bar serve snacks with a choice of coffee, wines, spirits, cocktails, draught beers and soft drinks. The venue will also have events, music and entertainment over the coming weeks.

Snappy Snaps, Butcher Row

Salisbury Journal:

Snappy Snaps are the latest addition to Butcher Row and are photo and digital specialists.

Their core service is the developing and printing of films in colour, black and white, slide processing and providing reprints and enlargements.

Triple Two Coffee, Blue Boar Row

Salisbury Journal:

After a short closure, Triple Two Coffee is set to reopen under new ownership in December.

The franchise coffee shop hopes to bring something exciting to the city and alongside the new owners, there will also be a current refurbishment and a fresh menu.
