THERE will be no entry to Castle Road for almost two weeks from today so that gas main works can be carried out.
SGN's urgent programme of work to replace a leaking section of the gas main along Churchill Way West and Castle Road will commence on Monday, February 5.
Phase one of the repair will close the road from the exit of Waitrose along the A36 to Castle Roundabout.
Castle Road's northbound lane will be inaccessible from Castle Roundabout until Saturday, February 17, to ensure everyone's safety.

Phase two will start immediately afterwards and last until Monday, February 26.
During this time, SGN will be working exclusively in the northbound lane of Castle Road.
The two southbound lanes before the roundabout will be made two-way.
The west side of Castle Roundabout will remain open for both phases of work.
Salisbury Reds buses will be following a diversion route through St Mark's Avenue, Somerset Road and Devonshire Road. Some stops will not be served while the work is ongoing.

SGN's proposed diversion route is 24 miles long and advises drivers to follow A roads to Cholderton, through Amesbury, and back down the A345. This takes roughly 40 minutes.
An SGN spokesperson said: "We're sorry for the inconvenience our work may cause."
