New Forest District Council raised a flag and laid wreaths outside the council's main offices to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day.
On Thursday, June 6 the council marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day with a ceremony at the council's main offices at Appletree Court in Lyndhurst.
The council’s Chairman was joined by a number of employees who are veterans of the Armed Forces, as well as representatives from the military based in Marchwood.

Culture in Common, an Arts Council England programme, has worked with partners in the New Forest to create a D-Day 80 commemorative souvenir programme.
