A woman has been rescued from a car after a crash on the A350 earlier this morning (Thursday May 20).
Emergency services were called to the East Knoyle bypass shortly before 7am following reports of a collision between a lorry and a car.
UPDATE: Woman airlifted to hospital after crash
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) attended the incident alongside the ambulance service and Wiltshire Police.
A spokesperson from DWFRS said: "Two crews from Shaftesbury, one from Mere and one from Blandford were called to East Knoyle Bypass at 6.51am this morning to assist the Ambulance Service with a road traffic collision.
"The incident involved two vehicles – one car and one lorry.
"Our crews rescued a casualty from the car and left them in the care of Ambulance crews.
"Our stop came at 7.25am."
Wiltshire Police has been contacted for comment.
